Salary: $15hr

Location:6161 Rothway Houston TX 77040 (Office Location) or Remote Work (Must live in Houston area)

Shift: Between 7 am-6 pm, 40 hours 5 days a week (Including Saturdays)

 

GROUP 1 AUTOMOTIVE’S call center is seeking Service Coordinators to schedule appointments for customers that would like to bring their vehicle in for repair. Service Coordinators may also answer general vehicle-related questions, direct non-service calls to the proper department, and correspond with dealership staff.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate system applications to review scheduling instructions for each Group 1 dealership
  • Schedule service appointments for increased dealerships profitability and customer retention
  • Provide detailed information for each service appointment to Group 1 dealerships and customers
  • Accurately advise customers of mileage-specific / condition-based maintenance and safety recalls
  • Quote pricing on factory-recommended services and provide customers with the estimated completion time
  • Respond to all inquiries using specific guidelines that are unique to customers' vehicles
  • Handle “status" inquiries and notify service advisors, or other dealership personnel, regarding progress for customer vehicles.
  • Identify customers who may need roadside assistance and connect them to the appropriate provider
  • Log all calls using appropriate codes rendered through approved CRM/call-tracking system.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of products, services, and pricing for all domestic, foreign and luxury brands within Group 1’s dealership network

Qualifications

  • What You’ll Need

    • High School diploma or GED, College degree or industry certification (preferred)
    • Previous call center, help desk, customer service, hospitality or retail automotive experience
    • Attend 90-day paid training Monday through Friday
      • 9am-6pm (Full-Time) 
      • 7am – 11am /11am – 3pm/1 pm – 5pm (Part Time)

    • Work Monday through Saturday between the hours of
      • 7am-6 pm, 30-40 hours, 5 days a week (Full Time)
    • Critical-thinking abilities, customer service aptitude & efficient computer skills
    • Superb attendance/punctuality record and schedule-adherence, productivity standards  
    • Strong work-ethic within a fast-paced, high-volume call center environment
    • Ability to adapt to sudden business and industry changes affecting automotive service operations
    • Navigate multiple systems to access complex dealership/manufacturer intelligence

     

Remote Work Eligibility

 

  1. Connectivity Requirements. Remote employees must show proof of their high speed internet connection of > 10 mbps Upload and > 10 mbps Download. They must contact their Internet Provider if their service needs to be upgraded to meet/exceed 10 mbps

 

  1. Technical Requirements. Remote employees are expected to immediately / proactively troubleshoot, report/resolve hardware/software issues, VPN disconnects, telephony (ShoreTel) failures or other technical concerns that may disrupt business operations or their ability to perform their job duties. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Closing / re-opening failed software applications
  • Shutting-off / re-starting computer equipment
  • Disconnecting / re-connecting hardware peripherals (mouse, headset, monitor, keyboard, modem, router, etc.)

 

  1. Work Space Requirements. Remote employees must use a quiet room or office with appropriate furniture, lighting, amenities to be productive 8 or more hours a day, 5 or more days a week.

 

  1. Performance Expectations. Management will assess employees’ work ethic, compared to traits customarily recognized as appropriate for successful Work At Home Agents
