Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate current/new employee information is transcribed to the payroll DMS system.
  • Ensures payroll is accurately and timely processed.
  • Monitor/Reconcile Employee-related account schedules.
  • Ensures General Ledger files are sent for posting by designated personnel.
  • Perform audits to ensure timely storage of Payroll documentation to maintain compliance.
  • Lead professional development through the training and mentorship of Payroll staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate coverage for all payroll processing schedules
  • Inform Assistant Payroll Manager/Senior Payroll Manager of payroll-related issues/concerns.
  • Be a main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support Payroll team by completing delegated assignments.
  • Participate in regular audit and reporting activities as assigned.
  • Suggest self-motivated recommendations for improved department efficiencies.
  • Effectively research and resolve payroll questions/issues from field or Payroll staff.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with and be a main point of contact for external vendors and field personnel.

Qualifications

  • Prior Payroll Manager Experience required.
  • Experience using Paylocity or Automobile Dealerships is a plus.
  • Experience with Multi-state payroll laws and tax requirements
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. 
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
  • Great attitude with high-energy personality.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, advance degree a plus
